STEVE KALDESTAD QUARTET

Saxophonist, band leader, composer, and educator, namely Program Coordinator at the Jazz Studies program at Capilano University in BC, Kaldestad has performed with a long list of exemplary performers, from the Dan Brubeck Quartet and the Kate Williams Quintet to Michael Bublé. His many recordings include a CD of original compositions, "Blow Up", where he displays “…compositional prowess and a muscular tone and breadth that recalls Sonny Rollins.” (—Ashante Infantry, The Toronto Star). Tonight he is joined by three stellar musicians: Tony Foster (piano), Michael Glynn (bass) and Julian MacDonough (drums).
