Originally from Philadelphia, now taking on NYC by storm, recording artist Sam Taylor was set to team up with Philly’s own jazz great Larry McKenna. Unfortunately, Larry McKenna has taken ill. Graciously stepping in with his tenor is Vancouver's own Cory Weeds. Don't miss these two tenors playing ballads, bop, beautiful straight-ahead jazz.

“Hello and Happy New Year! I cannot wait for our performance at the Jazz Center in just a few weeks, and to meet all you jazz fans. As you might have heard, unfortunately Larry McKenna will not be able to make the trip due to illness. He sends his deep regrets. We are all wishing him well in his recovery.

While Larry will be missed, I promise to carry his joyful musical spirit with me. Please join me, Paul Sikivie, Pete Van Nostrand, and Cory Weeds on January 22nd for a wonderful night of music. Thanks very much!”
